MAPUSA: Deputy Speaker and Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza has expressed his willingness to take on a ministerial role if the central leadership of the BJP deems him suitable for the position.
Speaking to the media, D’Souza emphasised his loyalty to the party and reiterated that he has never sought any posts but would accept such a responsibility in the interest of his constituency and the State.
“If the central BJP leadership considers my name for a ministerial position, I am ready to take on the responsibility for the benefit of the Mapusa constituency and Goa,” D’Souza stated.
“Until now, I have not demanded anything. I have always accepted what the party has given me,” he added.
A two-time MLA, D’Souza highlighted his longstanding association with the BJP, noting that he has been a dedicated party worker since 2007.
“I have been a loyal karyakarta of the BJP since I got my right to vote, and I will continue to serve the party and the people faithfully,” he added.
The statement comes amid confirmation from the state BJP leadership that a cabinet reshuffle is on the horizon and expected to occur sometime this year.
