Goa, October 25th, 2023: Various security services conducted thorough inspections of the route that will be taken by the cavalcade of Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi who will be arriving in Goa for the opening ceremony of the 37th National Games on 26 October at PJN Stadium, Fatorda.

 The Prime Minister will be landing at the Goa International Airport, Dabolim and will proceed via Verna to the Fatorda Stadium at around 6pm on Wednesday.

The route is being sanitised by security forces for any potential threats, while other areas in the vicinity of the stadium and the road to be taken by the cavalcade are also being inspected by security personnel. The route will be closed for a brief period prior to the Prime Minister’s arrival of the ceremony and departure after the programme.

 The Prime Minister is scheduled to spend around 1 hour, 50 minutes at the opening ceremony of the Games.

About National Games: The 37th National Games Goa 2023 is a prestigious sporting event aimed at promoting sportsmanship and unity across India. It will feature 43 sports disciplines with over 10,000+ athletesthat will compete from 28 Indian States, eight Union Territories and Services. The event will take place from October 26th to November 9th, 2023, at 28 venues across Goa, India.
