Cancona MLA and Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar paid tributes to martyrs Mangesh Gaonkar and Dilip Velip on Sankalp Din, at Khotigao- Canacona. When questioned about criticism by some tribal leaders regarding celebration ofSankalp Din, Ramesh Tawadkar said that he his feeling hurt by criticism as results can be seen about his work for tribal communities since 1996 as GAKUVED and UTTA’s agitation started from Canacona , besides education for tribal communities through Balaram Education Society. Regarding new schemes, Tawadkar said that the tribal workers from all over Goa decided to launch Shramadam yojana all over Goa and trust will be formed in the name of Mangesh Gaonkar and Dilip Velip so that business school can be opened in the state.
