PANAJI: Sports Balcao emerged victorious in the inaugural Inter Media Futsal Tournament 2025, organized by the Sports Journalists Association of Goa, held at the Futsal ground in Kadamba Plateau, Old Goa.

In the final match, Sports Balcao triumphed over Prudent Media with a score of 2-0. During the semifinals, Prudent Media secured their place by defeating Prime Media, while Sports Balcao overcame All India Radio. Clive Alvares from Prudent Media was recognized as the Best Goalkeeper, Drake Dias from Sports Balcao was named Player of the Tournament, and Worrel Dsouza, also from Sports Balcao, received the Man of the Final award.

The Best Veteran Player accolade went to Kishore Kamat of Navhind Times. The prize distribution ceremony featured St. Cruz MLA Rudolf Fernandes as the chief guest, who presented awards to the winning team alongside social workers Arcanjo Aravajo and Savio Cordo Nani. The successful organization of the tournament was attributed to the efforts of Mahesh Gaonkar, president of the Sports Journalists Association of Goa, secretary Dhiraj Mahmbre, and members Anirudha Raul and Santosh Kubal. Participating teams included Prime Media, Goa 365, Prudent Media, Sports Balcao, Navhind Times, Doordarshan, All India Radio Bhangarbhui, Times of India, and Electronic Media.
