❖ The Southwest Monsoon has withdrawn from the entire country today the 19th October 2023.

The Low-Pressure Area over Southeast & adjoining Eastcentral Arabian Sea moved nearly westwards and lay over Southeast & adjoining southwest Arabian Sea at 0830 hours IST of today, the 19th October, 2023. It is likely to move nearly west- northwestwards and become Well Marked Low Pressure Area over southwest Arabian Sea during next 24 hours and intensify into a Depression over southwest & adjoining westcentral Arabian Sea around 21st October.

The cyclonic circulation over southeast Bay of Bengal in lower tropospheric levels persists over the same region at 0830 hours IST of today, 19th October, 2023. It is likely to move northwestwards and under its influence a Low-Pressure Area is likely to form over central parts of Bay of Bengal by 21st October morning. Thereafter, it is likely to intensify further into a Depression over westcentral Bay of Bengal around 23rd October.

❖ The cyclonic circulation over east Bangladesh & neighbourhood now lies over Mizoram and neighbourhood and extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level.

❖A cyclonic circulation lies over Comorin area and neighbourhood and extends upto 5.8 km above mean sea level.

A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect Northwest India from the night of 21st October, 2023.

The Western Disturbance as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies along Long.

78°E to the north of Lat. 33°N has moved away eastwards.

The cyclonic circulation over southeast Rajasthan & neighbourhood at 0.9 km above mean sea level has become less marked.

The trough from the cyclonic circulation over Southeast Bay of Bengal to Comorin area across Sri-Lanka has become less marked.
