On 17.10.2023 at 21:36 hrs registered Calangute P.S. Cr. No. 126/2023 U/s 323, 342, 506(ii), 356, 392 R/w 34 IPC, upon the complaint of Shri S. Satishkumar s/o Shrinivasa Shetty, age 39 years r/o Bastarahalli Kolar Karnataka that a tourist guide/ tout took the complainant and his friend and further along with other two accused persons assaulted and robbed the complainant and his friend by transferring an amount of Rs. 30,000/- through UPI transaction by putting them in fear, thereby committed robbery by confining the complainant and his friend in a room. Accordingly accused persons namely 1) Sharukhan S/o Basirahmad Devagiri, age 25 yrs, R/o Behind Almeida School, Canca Parra, Bardez Goa, N/o Attar Street, Devihosur, Haveri, Karnataka, 2) Cyril Dias S/o Alex Dias, age 42 yrs, R/o H.No. 108, Near St. Sebastian Chapel, Devsu, Pernem Goa and 3) Avinash S/o Kanti Patel, age 32 yrs, R/o Near Hanuman Temple, Khobrawado, Calangute, Bardez Goa, N/o Patlara, Talav Falia, Daman, Daman & Diu were arrested in the above crime. The accused persons are remanded to 3 days Police Custody. Further investigation is in progress with PSI Rajaram Bagkar of Calangute PS under the supervision of PI Calangute Shri. Paresh Naik and SDPO Porvorim Shri. Vishwesh Karpe and over all supervision of SP North Shri. Nidhin Valsan.
