Three luminaries who have worked in the fields of poetry, theatre, cinema, journalism, education and government administration will release ‘Saath’, a poetry collection by Sandesh Prabhudesai.

Eminent poet, journalist and screenplay writer Ibrahim Afghan, Principal of Kala Academy of Goa’s Theatre Art College, poet and scriptwriter Dr Rajay Pawar and Dr Prakash Vazarikar, a scriptwriter, researcher, professor and former Director of Directorate of Official Language would be the three guests at the book release function.

The book release function will be held on Sunday, 22 December at Konkani Bhavan in Madgao at 4 pm.

Ibrahim Afghan has written a foreword to be book, analysing the sociological aspects of Prabhudesai’s poetry. Besides poems, Prabhudesai has also written a 27-page detailed note on the experiments he has made in the writing style of Konkani literature.

Added to this is a note on how different dialects strengthen a standardised version of language by Dr Ganesh Devy, an eminent language researcher of India, former English professor, creator of Adivasi Academy and known for his People’s Linguistic Survey of India.  

The book would be released with its printed version as well as the E-book, which would be later followed by an audiobook. The book is published by Qurate Books, a publishing house based in Goa.
