PONDA: A two-day training programme on “Strategies for Prevention and Management of Cyber Threats in Regional Rural Banks” commenced at National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Goa Campus on Friday. The programme, organized in collaboration with the Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD), Lucknow, witnessed participation from 30 banking professionals from across India.

The inaugural session was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr Lokesh Chouhan, Dean Academics, NFSU Goa Campus, Ravi Chandra Yadav, Faculty Member, BIRD Lucknow, and Dr Karunendra Verma, SMS, BIRD Lucknow. The speakers highlighted the critical importance of addressing cyber threats in the banking sector and emphasized strategies for effective prevention and management.

This training programme aims to enhance the capabilities of banking professionals in combating the growing menace of cybercrime, particularly in the context of regional rural banks. The sessions include interactive discussions, case studies, and hands-on activities designed to equip participants with practical tools and knowledge.

The event continues tomorrow, promising insightful deliberations and actionable strategies for safeguarding the rural banking infrastructure against cyber threats.
