Veteran Bollywood actor and producer Michael Douglas will address a Masterclass at the 54th International Film Festival of India in Goa on the 28th of this month. The legendary American actor will also be honoured with the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award at the closing ceremony of IFFI the same day.
Over the years, Masterclass has emerged as one of the most sought-after events at IFFI. The reason for its growing popularity every year is those who take these classes. Masterclass is a series of interactive sessions conducted by eminent film personalities who have created an impact in the film industry. It provides an opportunity for the IFFI delegates to learn from the best in their fields. The Masterclass at this year’s IFFI started yesterday with stars like Sunny Deol, Karan Johar, Sara Ali Khan, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema Kagti addressing it on the very first day. Vijay Setupati, Madhur Bhandarkar, Kay Kay Menon, and Babil Khan will conduct the Masterclass today. During the 9-day festival, Bollywood stars like Rani Mukherjee, Vidya Balan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Pankaj Tripathi will address masterclasses at IFFI. Masterclasses are being held at the newly renovated Kala Academy building in Panaji.
