
Reinforcing the ‘Swasth Police – Sashakt Police’ initiative launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on December 23, 2024, VIANAAR, in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Bicholim and the Telemedicine Society of India (TSI), Goa Chapter, has taken a crucial step in enhancing the health and emergency preparedness of Goa Police personnel.
As part of this initiative, essential medical equipment and consumables were donated for 14 North Goa Police Stations and officially handed over to the Director General of Police (DGP), Shri Alok Kumar (IPS), in the presence of DIG HQ Shri Ajay Krishan Sharma (IPS), SP North Goa-Shri Akshat Kaushal(IPS), Smt. Sucheta Desai-SP Training,, and other police officers, including SPs and DYSPs.
To ensure effective utilization of the equipment, selected police personnel underwent hands-on training today, conducted by IMA Bicholim and TSI Goa Chapter.
DGP Shri Alok Kumar (IPS) commended the initiative, emphasizing the importance of accessible healthcare within police stations. He acknowledged the vital role played by Vianaar, IMA Bicholim, and TSI in enhancing the well-being of the force.

Dr. Shekhar Salkar, President of IMA Bicholim, highlighted that empowering police personnel with medical knowledge is just as crucial as providing them with equipment. He assured continued support in training and ensuring the effective use of these resources.
Mr. Varun Nagpal, CEO of Vianaar, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to the health and welfare of Goa Police. He praised the leadership of the Goa Police team in facilitating this program, building upon the foundation laid by the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s vision for a stronger and healthier force.
Vianaar, IMA Bicholim, and TSI Goa Chapter also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the media—both electronic and print—for their invaluable support in spreading awareness about this initiative and ensuring it reaches the wider public.
