PANAJI:  Health Minister Vishwajit Rane announced his commitment to accelerate infrastructure development in light of the ongoing expansion of the Goa Dental College after conducting surprise inspection on Friday.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Rane said he was satisfied with the progress shown by departments which have relocated to the new building.

“Happy to share that my recent surprise inspection at the Goa Dental College revealed satisfactory progress in the departments that have been relocated to the new building,” Rane wrote on X. 

He said he also assessed the ongoing work of renovation of the hostel building and described the progress as encouraging.

However he added: “There’s a pressing need for expediting the construction of new Operation Theaters and wards in the dental facility to expand patient care services.”

Rane said the expansion will help the Dental College to significantly enhance its capacity to serve more patients.
