NCP had demanded the resignation of Nilesh Cabral, the then PWD minister of Goa because questions were raised on the discrepancies in the funds allotted for the renovation of the Kala Academy. Even after the roof of the Kala Academy collapsed, we asked for an SIT investigation and the resignation of Cabral for a free and fair probe.
But CM Pramod Sawant has not taken the issue seriously and avoided taking all necessary actions.
Now, after replacing Cabral with Alexio Sequeira as Cabinet Minister, the BJP CM Pramod Sawant has retained Cabral’s PWD portfolio with himself.
If Sawant can give Sequeira the Ministerial berth of Cabral, why did he not give the portfolio too?
Is the CM afraid that the Skeletons of the PWD will come out of the closet?
Does he not trust the new cabinet minister Alexio Sequeira?
Or is he keeping the PWD portfolio because it is very lucrative?
The BJP led Goa government and CM Pramod Sawant need to answer these questions and also give a clear explanation on this issue to the people of Goa.
