  3. Youth Congress Launch Bharat Jodo Leadership Programme

PANAJI: Goa Pradesh Youth Congress President Joel Andrade and General Secretary Ahraz Mulla launched the Bharat Jodo Leadership program, an initiative of the Indian Youth Congress, at a press conference in the capital city on Thursday afternoon.

“Today we are launching a leadership programme — the Bharat Jodo leadership programme that is an initiative of the Indian National Youth Congress. This programme will span over nine months and offer a great learning experience in grassroot politics and governance. Young professionals — here is a chance for you to stand for your beloved nation, our country for our generation and for a better future,” Goa Pradesh Youth Congress president Joel Andrade announced.

The Youth Congress praised leader Rahul Gandhi for organising the Bharat Jodo Yatra that spanned from Kanyakumari to Kashmir with the message uniting the people of the country against the hatred that is going on around this country against the politics of hate.

“Right from Kanyakumari to Kashmir there was not a single fight that took place on the route of Bharat Jodo Yatra. You see when BJP holds rallies they will talk about religion, caste and politics nothing else and provoke people in their rallies,” Youth Congress leader Ahraz Mulla, said.

Mulla said that wherever the BJP rules there is strife and peace is diminishing.

“Crime rate is a major issue the state is facing. We have never faced the hatred that we are facing. Today the hatred among people is increasing. The government is not serious about any of this. We are a state that believes in peace and harmony. Goa has always been an example of peace for the rest of the country,” Mulla said.

“Since the BJP government is in Goa this peace is finishing and diminishing. In the interest of the people, the youth Congress will take charge. We have the Bharat jodo yatra in the north. We will be part of BJY in the south,” he added.
